For this week’s Tips and Tricks to Optimize your New Landscaping, we get inspiration from childhood fairy tale Goldilocks and the Three Bears. When watering and nourishing our plants, we want—not too much, not too little—but just the right amount.
While it is important to keep your plants well hydrated and nourished, whether through good soil quality or fertilization, anything in excess, even for plants, can be detrimental.
When watering, be sure to consult the weather forecast in case rain is expected to prevent over-watering your plants. Likewise, always follow the advice of your landscape specialist for which kind of fertilizer to use and the directions on your fertilizer to be sure not to over fertilize.
